Silke Meier

Silke Meier ( born July 13, 1968 in Kaiserslautern) is a former German tennis player.

Career

The daughter of former Bundesliga professionals Reinhard Meier, who acted as a defensive midfielder for the 1.FC Kaiserslautern from 1973 to 1981, began her career at the tennis club of SV Alsenborn.

On the WTA World Ranking was conducted in October 1987 in a single place on 40. Silke Meier won five doubles titles and three tournaments in singles. Their greatest success was winning the title in 1991 at the WTA tournament in Oslo in a double along with Claudia Kohde - Kilsch.

Meier played for Germany in 1987, when the German team for the first time the Fed Cup won.

After her career Silke Meier honorary coach was in the youth field at the German Tennis Federation.
