Silko Günzel

Silko Günzel ( born June 2, 1971) is a former German swimmer.

Biography

Günzel was supported by many youth championships in the GDR in performance center for Swimming in Berlin. He competed for the SC Dynamo Berlin and in 1987 in Rome 4 x Youth European Champion and in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay already in 1987 and again in 1988 German champion in the GDR and together with Steffen Zesner and Lars Hinneburg.

After the turn he joined the SSF Bonn. He 1991 German champion over 100m freestyle for this club at the German Swimming Championships. He was at the German Swimming Championships in 1990 over 50 m freestyle and third in 1991, second four times from 1993 to 1995, where he club side via Cologne changed in the meantime back to Berlin.

He was at the sprint - European Men Championships in 1991 and second in 1993 and 1994 on 50 m freestyle off third.
