Silvano Maria Tomasi

Silvano Maria Tomasi CS ( born October 12, 1940 in Casoni ) is Archbishop and Permanent Representative of the Holy See at the United Nations Office at Geneva and the World Trade Organization.

Life

On August 17, 1996, he was ordained by Cardinal Angelo Sodano bishop. He is since 1999 Titular Archbishop of Acelum, before he was Titular Archbishop of Cercina. Before joining the United Nations he was Apostolic Nuncio in Ethiopia, Eritrea and Djibouti.
