Silvano Montevecchi

Silvano Montevecchi ( born March 31, 1938 in Villa San Giorgio, part of municipality Brisighella, † September 27, 2013 in Imola ) was Bishop of Ascoli Piceno.

Life

Silvano Montevecchi received on 13 June 1962, the ordination. From 1983 to 1995, Montevecchi vicar general of the diocese of Faenza - Modigliana and rector of the seminary of the diocese. Pope John Paul II conferred him on February 20, 1982 the honorary title of Chaplain of His Holiness on 27 August 1988 Title Apostolic prothonotary. From 1995 he was a cathedral minister at the Cathedral of Faenza and from 19 May 1996 to June 29, 1997 simultaneously diocesan administrator of the Diocese of Faenza - Modigliana.

On August 30, 1997, he was named John Paul II appointed Bishop of Ascoli Piceno.
