Silversea Cruises

The Silversea Cruises, Ltd.. , Briefly referred to as Silversea, operates cruise ships of the luxury class. The ships of the company will travel to destinations on almost all parts of the world and are year-round road. The company is owned by the Lefebvre family of Rome and is headquartered in Monaco. The offices are among others in Fort Lauderdale, London, Singapore and Sydney.

History of the company

The company was founded in the early 1990s with the idea to offer more style and comfort through a higher standard than other cruise ships. Train operation began with a single ship, the Silver Cloud for almost 300 passengers. Later, the shipping company has ordered progressively larger vessels, then the last -built Silver Spirit accommodate nearly 550 people.

Fleet

The ships are relatively small with 132-540 passengers. On the one hand, a higher luxury to be offered, on the other ports can be run off the beaten track.

Personalized tours

Silversea offered the first company to personalized tours. In this program it is possible to determine the passengers to their start and end port itself. This makes it possible to compile the traveler their own cruises. The routes of the intermediate stations can not be chosen freely.
