Silvio Gazzaniga

Silvio Gazzaniga ( born January 23, 1921 in Milan ) is an Italian sculptor. In 1971, he created the FIFA World Cup, the trophy that is awarded to the world champions since 1974. Also from his hand are the UEFA Super Cup, the trophy for the U-21 European champion, the Coupe d' Afrique Nations, and the OFB Cup trophy. In addition comes the trophy for the winner of the baseball world by Gazzaniga.

Silvio Gazzaniga studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera.
