Silvio Marzolini

Silvio Marzolini ( born October 4, 1940 in Buenos Aires ) is a former Argentine professional football player who played for Boca Juniors. In the 60s, he was commonly referred to as one of the best left-back in the world.

Marzolini began his career in the youth of Ferro Carril Oeste in 1959 and made his debut in the first division. A year later he was hired by the Argentinean giants Boca Juniors and remained loyal to the club until his career end. He was here for years starting players and won five league titles (1962, 64, 65, 69, 70) and came to a total of 407 official matches is used.

Overall Marzolini played 28 times ( one goal ) for the Argentine national team, and participated in the World Championships in 1962 and 1966.
