Simatic S5 PLC
STEP 5 is a programming software for programmable logic controllers Simatic S5 from Siemens. Siemens has discontinued this software on 1 October 2005 as the Simatic S5 is no longer being developed. Follow-up control is the Simatic S7 with the programming software STEP 7
STEP 5 user programs for all Simatic S5 automation devices can be created. of functions:

STEP 5 is available in two versions:
- STEP 5/ST-Basispaket for PGs and PCs for programming, testing, documentation, commissioning and automatic documentation of S5 programs for the S5 -90U, S5-95/U/F, S5 -100U, S5 - 101U, S5 -115U/H/F, S5 -135U, S5 - 150U and S5 -155U / H.
- STEP / ST for small controllers for PC; STEP 5/ST for small controllers is specifically tailored to the programming of small controllers S5 -90U, S5 -95U / F and S5 -100U. Only the following software packages can run: GRAPH Mini, IP COM 266, COM 95F, DG1 COM, COM 521 BASIC. All other COM packages and optional packages can not be used.
