Simen Brenne

Simen Brenne ( born March 17, 1981 in Fredrikstad ) is a Norwegian football player. He is currently in Norway with Odd Grenland under contract.

Club career

Brenne began his career in sports club Selbak TiF from his hometown Fredrikstad. In 2000, he signed his first professional contract with Moss FK. To get started, changing player, he managed in his second season as a professional in 2002 and achieved the breakthrough as a striker 6 goals this season. As Moss descent into the 2003 season as the second to last in the Adecco Ligaen, he remained his club, as one of the few players loyal. But Moss was the many outlets after the descent not cope and then played to the last against relegation from the second division. In the end it only lasted just under the class with 12th place.

As a result, he returned to his hometown to Fredrikstad FK, which had just managed to climb into the Tippeligaen. In Fredrikstad he was converted from striker to attacking midfielder, a position he had played in his youth. He then established himself permanently in Norwegian football, and brought over 3 seasons strong performances. As a highlight, he celebrated winning the Norwegian Cup 2006. In the final Sandefjord Fotball was defeated 3-0.

He was then for the equivalent of about € 400,000 - sold to Lillestrøm SK. A strong debut season, which earned him a nomination of the Norwegian national team, followed by a disaster season in which Lillestrøm table space with 12 only narrowly avoiding relegation. Brenne was injured early in the season and ran in a row over the entire season his form.

After the fast descent was restructured in Lillestrøm and costly Brenne got the release. As a result, he moved to the 2009 league internally to Odd Grenland. There he found back to its former strength and scored 8 goals in 24 missions.

National

As part of the youth scouting concept of the Norwegian Association, Brenne came back in 1997 to two inserts in the U-15 youth team of his country. This was followed by 3 years without convene, before he returned as Moss gamers once again in a youth selection team. After strong performances in the league, took place in the same year, the rise in the U- 21 team, the squad he served until 2003.

On 24 March 2007, he debuted in qualifying for the 2008 European Championship in Austria and Switzerland at 1-2 against the Bosnian - Herzegovinian national football team for Norway. In the next game on 28 March 2007 against Turkey he scored his first goal for interim 1-0 for Norway.

After his fifth deployment to Norway in a friendly against Wales on February 6, 2008, he was not nominated because of weak performances at club level for the national team.

After he stabilized his achievements in Odd Greenland again, it counts in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup back to the wider circle of the national team.

On September 5, 2009, he announced his comeback in the match against Iceland to Norway.
