Simon Brandstetter

Simon Brandstetter (born 2 May 1990 in Esslingen am Neckar) is a German football player.

Career

Simon Brandstetter began to play football in his hometown at TSV Oberensingen and the FV 09 Nürtingen. At 14, he played one year for VfB Stuttgart before he came to the Stuttgarter Kickers over VfL Kirchheim. There he spent the U -17 and U-19 time and played among others in the A- Youth League and was a member of the Württemberg selection.

After the youth center forward moved to SC Freiburg. There he was on the second team in the Regionalliga Süd establish and scored in his second year in 28 games 18 goals. He was also appointed to the U-20 national team. In the season 2011/12 he had to struggle with injuries and dropped out long. Although he was reported for the Bundesliga team of Breisgauer, he did not come there to use.

2012 showed the interest Karlsruher SC and the second division relegated borrowed Simon Brandstetter from the season change for a year. However, in the summer, he fell ill on mononucleosis and came after several months not used. In November it was rebuilt in the league team and on 1 December 2012, he made his debut in the third league in the final minutes against 1.FC Heidenheim at a score of 5:2. In the second round he was then still repeatedly used, but was able to earn a regular place in the successful, well-established team.

For the 2013/14 season changed Brandstetter to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt.

Simon Brandstetter's older brother Marcel is also striker and played among other things, in the season 2011/ 12 for the Stuttgarter Kickers in the Regionalliga.
