Playing career

In the club

Kogler began his career with the Wolf Berger AC. His first professional club was the SK Sturm Graz, where he remained until 1992. The next stop was Austria Vienna, where he matured into a national player. In 1996 he moved to SV Austria Salzburg and was Austrian champion. After the championship season in 1998, he went for a year to France for AS Cannes. On his return to Austria, it LASK Linz took them under contract. In 1999 he moved to FC Tirol Innsbruck, where he was Austrian champion again. Between 2002 and 2004 he made ​​his career with FC Kärnten finish.

National

Kogler made ​​its debut on September 4, 1991 in a friendly match against Portugal, in which he should achieve his only international goal. Overall, he played 28 times for the Austrian national team. He was there at the World Cup in France in 1998 for Austria, but was not used.

Coaching career

After his playing career, he took over the management of the sporting youth academy of FC Kärnten, he was coach of the Regional Club SK St. Andrew. As of 2006, Kogler official EURO 2008 was Ambassador of the OFB for the location of Klagenfurt, he also organized children's football camps.

From 21 December 2007 to 13 May 2008, he was head coach of the DSV Leoben, but changed despite the integrity of a class Leobner in the first league to league rivals FC Wacker Innsbruck.
