Simon Fairweather

Simon John Fairweather (born 9 October 1969 in Adelaide ) is an Australian archer.

Career

Fairweather, who competes for the Canberra Archery Club, took five times participate in the Olympics. In his first three appearances, he was 16 (1988 ), 25 (1992 ) and 1996 did only 54 until he won the gold medal in Sydney for Australians 2000. Four years later in Athens he was only 50 With the Australian team in 1996, he could achieve the best results with 4th place.

In addition to numerous national titles, Fairweather 1991 in Krakow took the world championship title in the individual and the bronze medal in the team competition.

Fairweather currently works as an artist and jewelry designer and is the triathlete Jackie Fairweather ( Gallagher ) married. Since 2009 he is an Australian national coach in archery.
