Simon Helberg

Simon Maxwell Helberg ( born December 9, 1980 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor and comedian.

Life and achievements

Helberg was born on December 9, 1980 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Jewish parents. His father, who was born in 1949 as Sandy Helberg in Frankfurt am Main, is an actor and German - Jewish origin. His mother, Harriet Helberg ( born Birnbaum ), a casting director. He was educated in the Jewish faith, conservative first and later for Reform Judaism. His acting studies, he graduated from the members of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where he was rehearsing in the Atlantic Theater Company.

In 1999 he received his first supporting role in a feature film, it was followed by other supporting roles in film and television productions as well as guest appearances in several series, including several episodes of MADtv and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Since 2007 he plays a lead role in the CBS sitcom produced by The Big Bang Theory. Too, he plays the role of nerds, as he had previously been embodied in the movie Van Wilder and the television series Joey as Howard Wolowitz.

He is married to actress Jocelyn Towne since 2007, on May 8, 2012, she had a daughter.
