Simon Mensing

Simon Mensing Ross (born 27 June 1982 Wolfenbüttel ) is an English footballer of German descent. He holds both citizenships and currently stands at Hamilton Academical under contract.

Clubs

Mensing played until 2002 in the reserve team of FC Wimbledon. During his time there he was loaned to FC Stenhousemuir FC and Clyde. In Clyde, the right midfielder was able to prevail, was even youth player of the year and moved in May 2002 according to FC Clyde.

For the Scots, he quickly became a fan favorite because of his German roots and got the nickname " Gunter ". After three years at Clyde in 2005 he moved to FC St. Johnstone.

In 2007 he moved to FC Motherwell. In September 2007, he was loaned for three months at Hamilton Academical after he did not become a regular at Motherwell. Since January 18, 2008 he played regularly for the club and was able to rise even at the end of the season in the Scottish Premier League.
