Simon Russell Beale

Simon Russell Beale, Simon Russell Beale, CBE ( born January 12, 1961 in Penang, Malaysia ) is a British actor.

Life

Simon Russell Beale was born as the son of Peter and Julia Beale (nee Winter ) on 12 January 1961. His father was a physician in the service of the British Army and was appointed Knight Commander, his mother was also a doctor. After his schooling at St Paul 's School in London Beale began training as a singer at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, but after a short time moved to acting and took his degree in 1983. In London Beale appeared as an actor since 1988 in various theater productions in the West End theaters. He also worked as an actor on television in different roles.

In 2003 Beale was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire because of his merits in the theater. 2005 Beale played the role of King Arthur in the musical Spamalot Monty Python.

In 2010 he received an honorary doctorate from the Open University.

Beale lives with his life partner in London.
