Sir Edmund Monson, 3rd Baronet

Edmund St. John Debonnaire John Monson 3rd Baronet, KCMG (* September 9, 1883, † 1969) was a British diplomat.

Edmund Monson was the third baronet of Monson Thatched House Lodge (1905 ) [ wp 1] His father was Sir Edmond Monson, formerly British Ambassador in Vienna and Paris. Monson joined the Foreign Service in 1906 and was sent to Constantinople Opel at the Sublime Porte, to Tokyo and Paris. He was British ambassador in Bogotá.

Monson was appointed Counsellor in Tehran in 1923.

On January 8, 1938 Monson was promoted to Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George.
