Sir Harry Burrard-Neale, 2nd Baronet

Sir Harry Burrard - Neale, 2nd Baronet (* September 16, 1765; † February 7, 1840 ) was a British admiral and politician.

1797 Burrard recorded at the end of the mutiny of the British fleet at the Nore in the Thames Estuary. From 1790-1802, 1806-1807, 1812-1823 and 1832-1835, he acted as Member of Parliament, the town of Lymington in the House of Commons. Burrard held from 1804 to 1807 the office of a Lord of the Admiralty. In 1810 he was appointed Admiral of the Royal Navy. In 1815 he was admitted to the Order of the Bath, 1824 in the Order of St Michael and St George. In 1825 he was commander in chief of the Mediterranean Fleet of the Royal Navy.

After Harry Burrard - Neale, who was friends with the explorer George Vancouver, the Burrard Inlet is named, the main port of the city of Vancouver. Also, a bridge and a road in Vancouver bear his name, the Burrard Street Bridge across False Creek and the Burrard Street.
