Sir Robert Harty, 1st Baronet

Sir Robert Way Harty, 1st Baronet (* December 27, 1779, † 1832) was an Irish politician.

Robert Way Harty was born in 1779 as the son of Timothy and Margaret Harty Lockington. On March 21, 1807, he married Elizabeth Davis. From this marriage several children were born. On February 9, 1822 Harty was elected an alderman of Dublin. As such, he held from 1830 to 1831, the Office of the Mayor of (Lord Mayor of Dublin). May 1831 Harty was chosen along with Louis Perrin for the constituency of Dublin City in the House of Commons. Your choice, however, was challenged and then both retired in August of the same year again. The elections Harty did not occur at once. On September 30, 1831 he was raised to the baronet.

Hartys oldest sister Susannah († January 1803 ) got married in January 1790 the later Dublin councilman and mayor Thomas McKenny.
