Sir Samuel Hood, 1st Baronet

Sir Samuel Hood, 1st Baronet, KB ( * 1762, † December 24, 1814 ) was a Vice Admiral of the British Royal Navy.

He came from the older line of seafaring family Hood. The younger line came from, for example, the two famous admirals Samuel Hood, 1st Viscount Hood, and Alexander Hood, 1st Viscount Bridport.

In 1809 he was elevated to the title Baronet Hood in the hereditary gentry status. Because he died childless, according to the patent award the descendants of his elder brother Alexander Hood followed as baronet.
