Sisu A-45

The Sisu A- 45 is a 1970 imported trucks of the Finnish vehicle manufacturer Suomen Autoteollisuus ( SAT). The two-axle, four-wheel -drive truck with a payload of 4150 kg is the successor to the almost identical Sisu KB - 45, which was developed on behalf of the Finnish Defence Forces.

Planning

The A -45 is technically based on its predecessor KB - 45th The main difference are the axes, since the A- 45 the Kirkstall axles were replaced by those of SAT.

Production and use

The predecessor KB -45 has been produced in the satellite factory in Karis. In 1969 merged with SAT Vanajan Autotehdas (VAT), after which the production of the A -45 was moved to the old VAT plant in Hämeenlinna. For capacity reasons, but also some A-45 were still made in Karis.

Transmission and chassis

Chassis
