The Sittenbach is just 10.8 km long right and northerly tributary of the river Pegnitz.
Course
The Sittenbach rises in Steinensittenbach, a district of Kirchensittenbach. It ends at the Old Sittenbach in the Pegnitz.
Use
The water power of the moral Bach was used along its course at several point to the operation of mechanical systems. These were mostly mills. Parts of former impoundment dams to the water can still be found at Aspertshofen and in Hagenmühle. In hop garden mill water power was used to operate a sawmill.
A use for the purposes of navigation and was not or only for short distances possible due to the strong natural watercourse.
