Skånetrafiken

Skånetrafiken is an administrative unit of the county council ( German: County Council ), the ( German: Scania) in the southern Swedish province of Skåne is responsible for public transport. It takes planning, procurement and marketing, but not conduct its own traffic lines, but presents this in a public tender process to different transport companies.

Train

The total rail traffic in the region Skåne County is operated on behalf of Skånetrafiken. These include Pågatåg, serving the rail passenger transport as well as Öresundståg that connects the Greater Copenhagen via the Öresund Bridge with Scania. The trains run from the Pågatåg Malmö Simrishamn about Ystad, On Lund after Höör and Kristianstad, to Ängelholm about Landskrona and Helsingborg as well as Teckomatorp to Helsingborg Helsingborg and Kristianstad over Åstorp. Skånetrafiken also participated in the Kustpilen traffic.

The transport path is about 25 million passengers for about a quarter of public transport.

The operation of SJ AB ( SJ) was carried out until June 2007, and since then, Arriva operator.

Bus

Local and regional bus lines in Skåne are also operated on behalf of Skånetrafiken by various bus companies as Bergkvarabuss or Swebus AB.

Local buses (city buses) are available in 10 cities. They carry about 50 million passengers per year, which accounts for about 50 % of total passenger traffic in public transport.

About 120 local bus routes connect the various places in Skåne together. Larger towns are connected by express buses.

Trolleybus

Main article: Landskrona Trolleybus

In the city of Landskrona there is the only trolleybus in Sweden. The line runs from the station to the city center and is about three kilometers long. As a tram as too expensive and a conventional bus route was considered too unattractive, began on 30 January 2003 with the construction of the track and started with the regular service on 15 September of the same year. 39 years before the last Swedish trolleybus in Gothenburg had set his service.
