Skeleton Crew

At dawn ( in engl. Original Skeleton Crew ) in 1985 after the night shift is the second collection of short stories of the American writer Stephen King. She appeared in Germany, first as one of three volumes (the other two are called The Song of the Dead and The Fornit ), together comprise all of the stories from Skeleton Crew. In total band blood all stories are gathered.

At dawn contains five horror stories. The sequence differs from that of the U.S. only.

Special

  • The character of Miss Bird out of respect - Tiger! based on Kings Erstklasslehrerin in Stratford, Connecticut, which he describes as pretty scary ( pretty scary ).
  • The story Omi is based on a true story: Kings grandmother died when he was just watching in the absence of his family on it. The story was in the series The Twilight Zone filmed (season 1 the remake of the 1985 episode 1 episode 18 ).
  • Morning deliveries is the remnant of an abandoned novel called Milkman by King.
  • The original edition of the introductory story The Mist is a short novel that was filmed under the title The Mist by Frank Darabont. It is also available in English as a receiver as well as a computer game. The story was commissioned by Kings damaligem agent Kirby McCauley, and King reported that wanted to come up with absolutely no contribution to the planned short story anthology him for a long time. In a supermarket, King finally came a vivid picture in my mind: What if a giant pterosaur wanted to fly through the narrow aisles of this supermarket? From the question arose from the mist.
