The SKO -Energo Aréna (formerly also Mladoboleslavský zimní stadium and Metrostav Arena) is an ice rink in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. The maximum seating capacity of 4,200 spectators. Main users of the building complex is the BK Mladá Boleslav, which discharges every home game for the young and professional teams here.

History

1956 art ice rink was built in Mladá Boleslav, which offered a spectator capacity of 10,372 spectators and was opened on 26 November 1956. In the 1970s, the open-air stadium underwent its first renovation, as a seat grandstand for 1,010 spectators was built. In 1980 started the construction work on the roof of the stadium, which was completed on 2 October of the same year. Simultaneously, the seating capacity was increased to 2,372. The total capacity fell to 7,500 spectators. In the 1990s there was a modernization of the interior and cooling technology. In addition, a second, somewhat smaller ice surface for training purposes as well as a restaurant was built.

2006 saw a further remodeling, floor were converted into seats than others. Since then, a total of 3,700 seats and 500 standing room available.

Between 2006 and 2008, the ice rink Zlatopramen arena was called after one of the main sponsors of the club that Zlatopramen Brewery, which belongs to Heineken. As of 2008, ie the stadium Metrostav Aréna, after Metrostav Group. From the season 2010/11, the Czech Extraliga, the stadium SKO -Energo Aréna is, after the energy provider for the city of Mladá Boleslav and the car factory Škoda Auto.

In the summer of 2009, more mobile stands were built for about 500 spectators.
