Model history

The model was presented at the Brno Exhibition in 1976. The vehicle struck by the comparatively modern appearance. It had a water-cooled rear-mounted engine with rear wheel drive.

In September 1983, the series has been revised: The modernized design of front and rear with wide headlamps and bulky plastic bumpers lowered the drag coefficient. With the economical engines increased as the economy of the vehicles. In addition, the handling was improved by wider track and rack and pinion steering. In September 1984 the production of the models with 130er, 135er and 136er engines began. The tank was moved because of new safety regulations from the front under the back seat. Also in 1984 appeared the racing car Škoda 130 LR, which replaced the Škoda 130 RS. He arrived as the previous 220 km / h, but was not available for the population.
