Skoki

Skoki [ skɔci ] ( German Schokken ) is a town with 3,900 inhabitants in Poland. It is 17 km south of Wągrowiec at the Little Welna and belongs to the powiat Wągrowiecki in the Greater Poland Voivodeship.

History

The first mention was 1367th settlers from East Germany was granted four years right of use, control, faith and freedom of trade. That's why it was a center of the Polish Reformation. In the Thirty Years' War in 1632 was the creation of the new city by German immigrants. Skoki belonged from 1815 to 1918 to the circle Wongrowitz in the Prussian province Posen. 1945 the German inhabitants fled from the Red Army.

Since 1995 there has been twinned with the integrated municipality Bardowick.

Community

In the urban and rural commune ( gmina miejsko - wiejska ) Skoki 8,700 people live in 27 Soltysships ( sołectwo ). The municipality has an area of ​​about 199 km ².
