The rural community Skorradalur ( Isl Skorradalshreppur ) is a sparsely populated Icelandic community in the region Vesturland in western Iceland. On 1 January 2009 the municipality had 57 inhabitants.

Geography

Skorradalur is one of the few municipalities Islands without direct access to the sea. The municipality lies on both sides of the elongated lake Skorradalsvatn, located south of the Skorradalsháls. In voiced southwest of the township, on the border with Hvalfjarðarsveit, lies the mountain Skarðsheiði. In the southeast of the municipality is the Botnsheiði.

Skorradalur borders in the north on the community Borgarbyggð, to the south Hvalfjarðarsveit. East of the church is the lake Reyðarvatn.
