Sleepy Hollow is a village in Westchester County, New York, USA.

Formerly known as North Tarrytown, it was publicly baptized in 1997 back to Sleepy Hollow. In the village, the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow, which was known by Washington Irving's story The Legend of Sleepy Canyon ( The Legend of Sleepy Hollow ) and the estimates based on feature film by Tim Burton is. Next to the church is also the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery ( Sleepy Hollow Cemetery ), where Irving was buried. In the 2000 census, the village had 9212 inhabitants. As a village it belongs to the town of Mount Pleasant.
