Slobodan Uzelac

Slobodan Uzelac ( born August 9, 1947 in Kakma in Biograd ) is a Croatian politician with Serbian roots and member of the SDSS. Uzelac is since 2009 the Vice- Chairman of the Committee on " social question and Human Rights" of the Croatian Government. After the official recognition of Kosovo on 19 March 2008 by the Croatian government, he has made his mandate available, but has Ivo Sanader, the then Prime Minister, does not accept his resignation.

Life

He obtained his MA at the Faculty of Medicine " Andrija Štampar " in Zagreb in 1976 and earned his doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 1981. He was a guest reader at Penn State University in 2001.

Private

He is married and has two children, a daughter and a son. He speaks also English and Russian yet.
