Slut (band)

Slut ( English for " bitch ") is a German musical group from Ingolstadt.

History

The band was founded in 1994 by Christian Neuburger, Matthias Neuburger, Rainer Schaller and Gerd Rosenacker. After the first album René Arbeithuber came about. They lived together for some time with their mates, Furry - René Arbeithuber and Rainer Schaller also play there - in a castle in Westerhofen, in which they have their rehearsal room and her live mixer Holger Krzywoń had his studio until mid-2005.

Slut got 2004 for their musical activities, the art prize of the city of Ingolstadt.

They also represented the beginning of 2005 to the Federal Vision Song Contest the state of Bavaria with a partially German version of Why Pourquoi.

2006 accompanied Slut at Ingolstadt Theatre The Threepenny Opera Brecht with musical compositions of Kurt Weill. The interpretations of 13 songs were later included in the Electric Avenue Studios in Hamburg by Tobias Levin and should be published in June 2006 as an album. However, this failed shortly before in the intervention by the administrators of the estate of Kurt Weill. Only five of the songs were eventually released for publication.

January 25, 2008 appeared a new album of the band entitled StillNo1. Producer of the CD was Oliver Zülch ( Doctors, The Notwist, Ich Ich, July, etc.). The CD was recorded in Berlin.

In autumn 2009 the band went along with the author Juli Zeh and the joint project " Corpus delicti - a sound novel" on tour. The sound novella was published on 18 September 2009, on CD, are included on the 7 new songs of the band.

In August 2013, the album Alienation came out.

Style

The songs of the band can be described in the most melancholy vocals and energetic guitar riffs as catchy rock music with a particular focus. The song structures usually follow the classical scheme ( verse / chorus ). Other structures have been tried on the album Lookbook, which makes more use of electronic effects and long intros.

The work on songs from The Threepenny Opera changed the music of the band sustained. Your sixth studio album StillNo1 sounds pathetic and makes more use of different instruments, when it was still on All We Need Is Silence the case.
