SM U 112 was a diesel-electric submarine of the German Imperial Navy during the First World War.

Construction

U 112 was given on 5 May 1916 in order. The production of the hull took over the Bremer Vulkan shipyard in Vegesack. It was completed at the Germania shipyard in Kiel, where the boat was launched on 26 October 1917.

Commissioning

U 112 was put into service until June 30, 1918. Subsequently, the boat of the IV U- Flotilla in Emden and Borkum has been assigned. First and only commander was Lieutenant Friedrich Petersen (June 30, 1918 to November 11, 1918 ).

U 112 led during the First World War by any patrols, and therefore could not sink ships or damage.

Whereabouts

On November 22, 1918 U 112 was delivered to the United Kingdom. The scrapping in 1922 in Rochester.
