SM U 25

SM U 25 was a diesel-electric submarine of the German Imperial Navy, which was used in the First World War.

U 25 was launched on July 12, 1913 at the Germania shipyard in Kiel from the stack and was put into service on May 9, 1914. The Indienststellungs commander of the submarine was Otto wishes, who held the command until 15 September 1915. Then Alfred Saalwächter took command.

U 25 led by three combat missions in which 21 merchant ships of the Entente and neutral states with a total tonnage of 14,126 GRT were sunk.

Whereabouts

After the war, U 25 was delivered on 23 February 1919 and scrapped in Cherbourg France in the postwar years 1921 and 1922.
