SMA SR305-230

SMA SR305 is the name given by the French company Société de Motorisations Aéronautiques of an engine. It is a 4-cylinder 4- stroke diesel engine with horizontally opposed turbocharged and intercooled. The engine is luft-/ölgekühlt. The engine capacity is 4998 cm ². The Verstellluftschraube is driven directly without a reduction gear. The engine is regulated by a FADEC.

The first flight of the engine was carried out in March 1998 in a Socata TB 20 The public nature of the SMA 305 was unveiled at the Paris Air Show in June 1999 for the first time.
