SMS Rail Lines

SMS Rail Service (AAR reporting mark: SLRS ) is an American railway company in the states of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Filed society as a "local railroad ." The total run length of the route is 48 km ( 30 miles). The company is based Bridgeport ( New Jersey).

The company was founded in 1994 by Jeffery L. Sutch and Leonard J. Smolsky and adopted on 30 May 1994 to operate in the Pureland Industrial Complex between Nortonville and Bridgeport, New Jersey.

By 2008, nor the operation of a network in the Penn Warner Industrial Park in Morrisville (Pennsylvania ) and the track came to Valero Energy refinery in Paulsboro (New Jersey) to do so. In New York State, the Company since November 2006 operates under the name "SMS Rail Lines of New York" the siding of the North East Industrial Park in Albany.

In addition to the transport of goods by rail, the company offers a wide range of logistic services.

The Company had 2005 on 18 locomotives, especially locomotives of Baldwin and Baldwin -Lima - Hamilton ( Baldwin VO -660, DS -4-4 -10, DS -4-4 -6, DS -4-4 -7.5, DS -4-4-10, BLH BLH S-12 and AS- 616).
