As a multi-purpose locomotives BB 7200 are able to carry both heavy freight trains and fast passenger trains. One of the vehicles was carried out for the freight service with lower translation certified for 100 km / h some of the vehicles was carried out for the passenger train service with high translation and approved for 160 km / h. In recent years, three locomotives were fitted with new bogies single BB 22200 for a maximum speed of 200 km / hr. Other BB 7200 have since April 2007 shuttle train.
