Sobekhotep VI. was an ancient Egyptian King (Pharaoh) of the 13th dynasty ( Second Intermediate Period ), which BC or from about 1656 to about 1654 reigned from about 1696 to 1694 BC.

The throne name Meri - hotep -Re only be found in the Royal Canon of Turin ( 7.4 ), the king list of Karnak, a stele from Abydos and the so-called Stèle juridique from Karnak. From there Cachette comes a statue with throne and proper names of the king. However, is on scarabs is a king with the same name and throne but with the proper name Ani. It is believed a reign of two years, two months and nine days.

Jürgen von Beckerath and Spalinger see in Ani an original birth name of Sobekhotep, by contrast, Franke speaks out.
