Soennecken
The company Soennecken was originally a German office equipment manufacturer whose brand is well known in the Anglo-Saxon world, in North America, Australia and even in India. Founded in 1875 by Friedrich Soennecken, the name was registered as a trademark in 1905. With Soennecken the development of the spring holder, file folder and the punch is closely connected. 1973, the Company reported for bankruptcy and the trademark rights were transferred to the Branion eG. Since 2007, this shopping and marketing cooperation with its seat in Overath again under the traditional name Soennecken eG. The latter sells under its own brand Soennecken a wide range of office products.
History
On May 27, 1875 Frederick Soennecken founded in Remscheid, the trading company F. Soennecken publisher. Under the brand name Soennecken ( Gleichzugfedern ) were prepared at the beginning of Soennecken designed Rundschrift springs. After the death Soennecken 1919, the company was continued by the son and grandson.
In 1973, the company filed for bankruptcy. This was also the last work in Poppelsdorf, work Soenneckenfeld closed. Since 2004, the motto of brand quality is cheap! in use, which alludes to the long history of the company. Its current range includes office supplies, for example, inks, toners and digital storage media.
Since the General Assembly of the Branion eG decided to rename the company to Soennecken eG on 9 May 2007, is Europe's largest cooperative of office Soennecken economy.
