Sol Líneas Aéreas

Sol Lineas Aéreas is an Argentine regional airline based in Rosario and based on the Rosario airport.

History

Sol Lineas Aéreas established in 2006 under a contract between the tour operator transatlantica and the Government of the Province of Santa Fe, in order to improve the connection of the larger cities of the province of Buenos Aires and Cordoba.

Sol Lineas Aéreas offered with prior to 2011, the following routes:

  • Rosario - Buenos Aires
  • Rosario - Buenos Aires - Villa Gesell ( seasonal)
  • Rosario - Florianópolis ( seasonal)
  • Córdoba - Rosario - Punta del Este
  • Santa Fe - Rafaela - Buenos Aires

Fleet

As of August 2013 the fleet of Sol Lineas Aéreas consists of five aircraft:

  • 3 Saab 340A
  • 2 Saab 340B

Incidents

Sol Lineas Aéreas recorded in its history an incident with fatalities:

  • On May 18, 2011, compared clock 20:50 local time ( 23:50 UTC clock ), about 45 minutes after takeoff, crashed a set with 19 passengers, two pilots and a flight attendant machine Saab 340 Sol Lineas Aéreas of the Argentine Province of Río Negro from. She was on a domestic flight from Neuquen to Comodoro Rivadavia. All passengers died in the crash.
