Solar eclipse of August 22, 1998

In the solar eclipse of 22 August 1998, it was an annular eclipse, which was observed in Southeast Asia and Oceania. The central line passed over Sumatra, Malaysia, Brunei, Kalimantan and then further east in the Pacific north past the islands of Sulawesi and New Guinea. Singapore was just south of the central zone. In Southeast China and throughout Australia, the eclipse was partially visible.
