Sölvesborgs GoIF

Sölvesborgs GIF, partly written Sölvesborgs GoIF, is a Swedish football club based in Sölvesborg. The men's team played three seasons in the second division in Sweden.

History

Sölvesborgs GIF founded in October 1915. A long time the team played in the league unterklassigen area. After promotion to the third division in 1965 the team managed as a novice of the walkover in the second division. In the second year of league affiliation, it achieved as a table of their sixth season in 1968, the best result in the club's history. Already in the following year took the club as Table Atleten behind IK and IK Blomstermåla one of the three relegation places. In the following years, the club established in the third division, where he alternated between promotion race and relegation battle. In 1984, the club adopted the higher-class football and was classified as part of a league reform in the fifth game of class two years later.

In the 1990s, for two seasons briefly again viertklassig, Sölvesborgs GIF fluctuated after the renewed rise in the fourth League 2001 in the following years between the fourth and fifth level of play.
