Somen Tchoyi (2009)

Somen Tchoyi ( born March 29, 1983 in Douala, Cameroon) is a Cameroonian national football team. With the FC Red Bull Salzburg midfielder two times national champion and Player of the Year in Austria.

Career

Tchoyi began his career in his native Cameroon in Douala PMUC and in 2004 moved to city rivals Union Sportive Douala, before the Norwegian club Odd Grenland was aware of him. After good performances in dress of Oddrane 2006 he changed to Stabæk IF. In 2008 he signed a contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.

On his debut for Salzburg, on Matchday 1 against SV Mattersburg, he could score a goal. In addition to his sporting achievements, but he fell in September 2008, outside of football negatively on. Tchoyi caused in Wals a car accident and committed a hit and run. He had just under one per thousand of alcohol in the blood and could be identified because his front license plate was located at the scene. With three games before the end of the season 2008/ 09 he won with Salzburg the championship. In the 2009/10 season had Tchoyi instrumental in the success of Salzburg in the Europa League and the new winning the championship. In the Europa League group stage, in Salzburg with six wins their group was from six games, he shot goals against Villarreal and Lazio, where he by two hack tricks overcame the defense against the Romans and ultimately lifted up the goalkeeper. At season's end, he was elected in an election by the coaches, managers, and President of the Austrian Bundesliga clubs player of the season.

2010 Tchoyi West Bromwich Albion joined in the English Premier League, where he signed a two-year contract. In the summer of 2012, this ran out.

In January 2013 Tchoyi signed a contract with German Bundesliga FC Augsburg until the end of the season 2012/13 with option to extend. His league debut came (Matchday 27 ) on 30 March 2013 in the 0-2 defeat at home to Hannover 96 with the Substitutes for Torsten Oehrlein in the 72nd minute. Augsburg extended the contract to the end of the season not so Tchoyi had to leave the club.

National

His debut for the Cameroon national team, he was on 6 September 2008 at the World Cup qualification match against Cape Verde and even achieved the winning goal to make it 2-1. He took part in the Africa Cup of Cameroon in 2010, but retired there in the quarterfinals to eventual winners Egypt Africa Cup of. For the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, he was due to an injury he had suffered in the last league game at Sturm Graz, not nominated.
