Song Nan

Nan Song (Chinese宋 楠, Pinyin Song Nan, * August 9, 1990 in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang ) is a Chinese figure skater who starts in a single run.

Career

Song began at the age of six years with the figure skating. In 2009 he was the first time Chinese champion. In 2010 he won the silver medal behind Yuzuru Hanyū and before Artur Gatschinski at the Junior World Championships in The Hague. In the same year he made his debut at the Four Continents Championships, where he finished sixth. 2011 was followed by songs debut at the World Championships, where he earned a number 22.

In September 2011, Song was the second time Chinese champion and surprisingly won in both his Grand Prix performances a medal, only bronze at Cup of China and then silver at the Trophée Eric Bompard. This song hit among others the World Cup third Gatschinski as well as the World Cup Fourth Michal Brezina and increased his personal Gesamtpunktebestleistung to 226,75 points. At the World Cup 2012 song finished in 14th place. He pointed in the free skate a clean quadruple toe loop - triple combination, but fell on his quadruple toe loop individual.

Song is trained by Li Wei, his choreographer is Jeffrey Buttle.
