Sons of Yagbe'u Seyon

Senfa Ared IV ( äthiop. ሰይፈ አርድ ፬ኛ ) was 1294-1295 Negus Nagast ( Emperor ) of Ethiopia.

Hezba Asgad ( ህዝብ አስገድ ) was from 1295 to 1296 Negest Negus of Ethiopia.

Qedma Asgad ( ቅድመ አስግድ ) was from 1296 to 1297 Negest Negus of Ethiopia.

Jin Asgad ( ጅን አሰገድ ) was from 1297 to 1298 Negest Negus of Ethiopia.

Saba Asgad ( ሳባ አሰገድ ) was from 1298 to 1299 Negest Negus of Ethiopia.

These sons of the Emperor Seyon Yagbe'u reigned one year long about Ethiopia. Historians are divided over the circumstances surrounding the throne consequences. Paul B. Henze claims that Yagbe'u Seyon could not decide which of his sons he bequeathed the kingdom. So he determined that each should reign for a year. On the other hand, recorded Taddesse Tamrat following the rule Yagbe'u Seyon a period of disorder in the Imperial House, in which each of the children for a time stopped the throne. EA Wallis Budge adds to this the tradition that Jin Asgad the use of Amba Geshen introduced as a royal prison for interfering relative of the emperor, when he was forced to imprison his treacherous brother Saba Asgad. At the same time, he had imprisoned his three other brothers and his own sons to Amba Geshen.

Whatever the situation really was, ultimately, it was terminated by the accession to the throne Wedem Arad.
