Soozie Tyrell

Soozie Tyrell ( born May 4, 1957 in Pisa, Italy, formerly known as Soozie Kirschner ) is an American violinist, guitarist, singer and composer. It was. Especially known for her long association with the rock musician Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

Early years

Soozie Tyrell grew up as the daughter of a member of the U.S. Army initially in Italy and Taiwan. In Taipei, Taiwan, she learned to play the piano at the age of 7 years and 10 years, she took violin and guitar lessons in Fort Devens, Massachusetts. The family eventually settled in Florida, where Tyrell studied music at the University of South Florida and then moved to New York City where she worked as a street musician for many years. Together with Springsteen's later wife, Patti Scialfa musician and singer Lisa Lowell, who later in the context of cooperation with Springsteen still frequently encountered (eg 2006 in the Seeger Sessions Band ), she founded the band Trickster.

Collaboration with Bruce Springsteen
