Sophora denudata

Sophoreae is a tribe in the subfamily of the Fabaceae ( Faboideae ) within the legume family ( Fabaceae ). The species of this tribe are among the most pristine in this subfamily.

Description

There are woody plants: evergreen or deciduous shrubs and trees, rarely lianas are :; (example Bowringia callicarpa Champ ex Benth. ). or perennial herbaceous plants. The leaves are often pinnate or fingered. Stipules are present or absent.

There shall be lateral or terminal, racemose or Rispige inflorescences. The flowers and zygomorphic to nearly radial symmetry and often fünfzählig with double perianth. The five sepals are fused to different extents. The (rarely one to ) usually five petals can be white, yellow or purple. There are usually ten (six to thirty) stamens present. The stamens can all be completely free or be grown up to half their length, the outermost, are rarely nine to far grown up. The anthers are all the same. The single carpel containing one to several ovules.

Are formed legumes, which are sometimes winged. The kidney-shaped, elliptical or spherical seeds have a small hilum and sometimes an aril.

The chromosome number in the tribe extends from x = 8 to 14, the most common are x = 11 and x = 9

Occurrence

Species of the tribe are found in the tropical and temperate regions of America, Africa, Australia, Europe and Asia.
