A pastor takes off ( Original title: Soul Man ) is an American sitcom which ran from 1997 to 1998 Original Air Date on ABC. It was developed by Carmen Finestra, David McFadzean and Matt Williams, the creators of Listen, Home Improvement. The main role as Episcopalian priest played by Dan Aykroyd. A German version ran from 2005 to 2006 on Super RTL.
Action
Main character of the series is Mike Weber, a former rocker and widowed Episcopalian priest who lives as a single parent in Royal Oak and there leads a congregation. His four children are of the four -year-old Kenny, the eleven-year old Andy, the eight -year-old Meredith and Fred, the youngest of the family. For Weber's ecclesiastical environment include the Bishop Peter Jerome, Mike Weber disapproves unconventional gait, Todd Tucker, who has just completed the seminary, and Mike's assistant Nancy Boyd. The plots of individual episodes arise from situations in the family, the church and the community.
