Sound of the Underground ( German: Sound of the underground ) is the debut album by British girl group Girls Aloud. The album was released on 26 May 2003 and immediately rose to number two in the UK album charts. The album sold 37 077 units in the first week. Design and style of music

The band was formed during the television show Popstars: The Rivals founded. The debut single Sound of the Underground was later selected by the Manager of the newly formed band, Louis Walsh, from about sixty songs which had the songwriter Brian Higgins and Miranda Cooper from the production team Xenomania written in advance.
