Source is the second studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band The Duskfall. It was released in Sweden on 30 December 2003 on Black Lotus Records. Outside Sweden, the album was released on 23 February 2004.

Formation

During the making of the album, the band had to deal with several problems. First, the guitarist Glenn Svensson left the band for personal reasons. He was replaced by Joachim Lindbäck. The originally scheduled recording session had to be postponed. The Duskfall swapped studio time with the band In Flames, because the wife of the In - Flames drummer Daniel Svensson was expecting a child. There was a delay so that The Duskfall instead of the booked five weeks only four had is exact. In addition, perpetrated a friend by guitarist Mikael Sandorf, who suffered from depression, suicide.

The album was recorded in the Dug -Out Studios in Uppsala. Source was produced by Daniel Berg beach, Örjan Örnkloo and the band. Mountain beach also took over the mastering.
