Products

The Sourcefire 3D System is an intrusion prevention solution that can be divided into three phases protection for customers - IPS, IPS and Adaptive Enterprise Threat Management ( ETM).

IPS is an intrusion defense based on the Snort detection engine. The Adaptive IPS phase integrates the passive real-time network intelligence Sourcefire RNA (Real -time Network Awareness), which provides automatic threat assessment and causes a significant reduction of false positives and false negatives. ETM - phase to allow the detection of attacks, objectives and the condition of critical systems in one system.

Snort is a GPL -standing, rule-based network intrusion prevention and detection system that combines signature, protocol and anomaly- based methods. Sourcefire expands the functionality of the monitoring network behavior. Sourcefire's RNA maintains and documented throughout the network profiles and the relevant vulnerabilities.

ClamAV ( Clam AntiVirus ) is a standing also under the GPL anti-virus program for Unix-like systems, primarily for the scanning of e -mails on a gateway.

Acquisition by Cisco Systems
