Soweto Gospel Choir

The Soweto Gospel Choir is a South African gospel choir.

The 30 -member group was founded by the choir directors David and Beverly Bryer Mulovhedzi in the Johannesburg suburb of Soweto. It presents a blend of African gospel, Negro Spirituals, reggae and American pop music. Her first appearance was at the concert for Nelson Mandela 's 46664. Since then, she has completed several international tours.

With their album Blessed they won the 2007 Grammy Award in the category " Best Traditional World Music Album".

On 7 July 2007, the choir performed at the Live Earth concert in Randburg.
